Born in 1981, STOUL is an internationally renowned French artist in the Urban & Contemporary Art movement. First known for her feline characters in the early 2000s, she has evolved towards a geometric and multicolored style, where abstraction meets figuration. Trained at the École Boulle, she started out in Graffiti before developing monumental works that leave room for the imagination. Her project ORU, inspired by origami, symbolizes her love for architecture and her commitment to urban renewal.
Stoul is a multidisciplinary artist: she creates monumental frescoes on iconic buildings such as the Hôtel CISP Maurice Ravel in Paris, as well as more intimate works in her studio. Her murals stand appart by their visual dynamism and their interaction with the urban environment. At the same time, she is committed to important causes such as gender equality and ecology, using eco-responsible materials whenever possible.
In addition to her mural work, Stoul also exhibits her studio work in galleries around the world and has collaborated with prestigious brands. In 2021, she returned to metal to create outdoor sculptures, a return to her first love. She also leads different types of collaborative workshops, allowing people to co-create works, thus reinforcing the community aspect of her art. She inspires and surprises with her ability to transform urban spaces while reflecting contemporary social and environmental concerns.
