Born in 1987, JOKE is a calligraphy artist and muralist based in Marseille. The artist has always put calligraphy at the center of his research, playing with movements, structures, meanings to revisit them and exploit them as pure raw material in his compositions.

Coming from the graffiti world, letters are the keystone of his work. By being redrawn, restructured and sometimes left aside of their primary meaning which is readability, the artist gives way to geometric and graphic abstractions in his work on murals or canvas.
