Born in Luxembourg in 1995, DANIEL MAC LLOYD is a self-taught artist and muralist. His passion for color and form began before he could walk. The graffiti at the skatepark of his youth blended with his childhood watercolor paintings to shape his style. He avoided formal art courses, preferring to discover his own path, then start exhibiting in 2009 and decided to fully dedicate himself to art in 2015. In 2018, he won the Street Art Award Benelux and co-founded the Kamellebuttek Urban Art Gallery, with Raphael Gindt, to organize exhibitions and projects with national and international artists.

The art of Daniel Mac Lloyd often combines abstract, watercolor graffiti and abstract forms, featuring birds or sea creatures. To him, art is about finding the magic and beauty of life in the small things that surround us daily, which we often overlook and giving those a voice, you usually would not hear. The artist is used to spotlighting these elements with bright, vibrant colors as well as dynamic movements. It’s about forging our own path, inspiring others, and embracing life’s chaos and beauty in their harmonious contradictions. His art being created spontaneously, instinctively, and subconsciously, it follows the natural flow of movements, often featuring motifs very close to nature.

For the artist, his mind constantly visualizes the world being shaped and colored, exploring different ways it could look and the stories it could tell. Turning these ideas into reality calms his mind and brings him inner peace. He believes the pursuit of happiness ends when you find joy in the journey itself, appreciating each moment’s preciousness. Today, the work of Daniel Mac Lloyd takes the form of paintings, murals, sculptures, and monuments in private and institutional collections, as well as on walls in over 40 cities.
